Snowy Endeavours

This week is ‘Cyber Week’ – traditionally the biggest web week in the calendar.  We have had ongoing record weeks on our sites over the last 4 weeks – and this week did not disappoint with Monday taking record sales on both Granny Knits and Pearl and Earl (we beat last years weeks total by Monday Lunchtime!)
So whilst lovers of the white stuff – we were praying and hoping that the snow would hold off down South so that it would not interfere too much with our business (my mum in Yorkshire has it up to her window sills!) .. But yesterday we had over 12 inches and another 14 inches fell overnight….  the post office and banks were all shut!.. and we had messages from ALL the courier companies that they were not picking up or delivering in our area.
Luckily we have a post office account – which means we can print our own stamps and pack up our sacks for collection.  But as the collections were cancelled Mr H has set off on multiple 2 mile journeys on foot to drop off at our sorting office ‘liasing’ with a lone van to take to the big depots.
So whilst we cannot guarantee delivery service at the other end, we are doing all we can to make sure we are still packing and despatching for you!  Plus we have upgraded all of the deliveries so that we can track them at this end.
Enjoy the snow – but keep safe and warm (and if you know anywhere I can get a pair of boys snow boots in size 10 – let me know!) – J, Mr H and the team x
PS – and of course a big up to Mr H who I think is enjoying his Santa status!
